Jennifer Aniston apparently has a real thing for the number eleven.
During a conversation on Variety‘s Actors on Actors series with her Friends costar Lisa Kudrow, the actress briefly lifted her arm revealing an “11 11” wrist tattoo.
Fans were surprised by the appearance of the tattoo, as Aniston rarely shows off her body art on camera. It also seems to be a relatively recent addition to her collection, first spotted at the end of 2018.
While the actress has made no official comment on the meaning behind the tattoo, a source told People that Aniston believes the numbers are good luck, adding that she’s “very spiritual.”
Double elevens are often referred to as “angel numbers” in new-agey circles and are considered to be a sign from the universe or guardian angels that you’re on the right path.
The source continued, “The number 11 is also special to her because of her birthday [February 11] and Norman,” her Welsh Corgi who died in 2011. Aniston’s first tattoo was actually a tribute to her beloved pet. Following Norman’s death, she got the dog’s name inked in cursive across the inner arch of her right foot.
While all of those seem like probable explanations for the actress’s mysterious wrist tattoo, perhaps there’s an even simpler explanation yet. Maybe Aniston is just a really big fan of her ex-husband Brad Pitt‘s 2001 movie Ocean’s Eleven.
